Announced for this Monday, February 26, 2024 across the entire national territory, the strike word from the Guinean trade union movement is effectively followed at the level of the Coyah prefecture.
In the urban commune of Coyah, the situation remains gloomy in the sector of transport of people and their goods where only a few transport vehicles are visible at the central bus station of Coyah and road traffic is also paralyzed.
In terms of school education, public establishments remain closed for this first day of strike and on the other hand private schools are open and classes are taught but not with a large number of students as before due to lack of security.
In places, commerce is operating normally because the situation remains visible at the central market in Coyah and at certain shops which are open.
And on the other hand, the doors of the only bank in the area remain closed and the public administration is also gloomy.
In the Commune of Maneah, some money transfer shops are closed in places and private schools in the locality keep their doors closed, including the largest secondary and higher education institution Amadou Dieng.
For the moment, no incidents have been reported for this first day of strike in the Coyah prefecture.
