International Sailing Championship Kicks‌ Off ⁤in Benghazi

With the participation of seven teams, including Libya, the “International⁤ Sailing Championship” gets ⁣underway today,​ Saturday, in Benghazi on the Jaliana beach. The championship, sponsored by Ajyaluna Foundation, is​ part of‌ the Benghazi Summer Festival 2024.

The participating teams are Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Morocco, Sudan,‌ and Seychelles. The ⁢competition will feature races in the “Optimist” category, ⁣the⁢ International⁢ Laser ​Class Association (ILCA 7) category, and the ​“Kiteboarding” category.

The championship will run ⁤until August 13 and will be overseen by Spanish‌ international referee Jose Manuel Miranda Carrera.
