International Sailing Championship Kicks Off in Benghazi
With the participation of seven teams, including Libya, the “International Sailing Championship” gets underway today, Saturday, in Benghazi on the Jaliana beach. The championship, sponsored by Ajyaluna Foundation, is part of the Benghazi Summer Festival 2024.
The participating teams are Libya, Egypt, Tunisia, Iraq, Morocco, Sudan, and Seychelles. The competition will feature races in the “Optimist” category, the International Laser Class Association (ILCA 7) category, and the “Kiteboarding” category.
The championship will run until August 13 and will be overseen by Spanish international referee Jose Manuel Miranda Carrera.
