The first meeting of the ‘Government Institutions Committee’ of the 12th National Parliament was held on Tuesday (March 5).

National Parliament Building. Abul Kalam Azad chaired the meeting, committee member Morshed Alam, Md. Ashraf Ali Khan Khosru, Syed Muhammad Ibrahim, Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury, Nuruzzaman Ahmed, Md. Siddiqur Rahman Patwari, Anwarul Ashraf Khan and Nazma Aktar participated. At that time, the concerned officials of Bangladesh National Parliament Secretariat were present.

In the meeting, the working scope and work plan of the government institutions committee were discussed in detail in the light of the rules of procedure 238. The Committee recommends preparation of a final list by combining the list of public institutions mentioned in the budget documents sent by the Comptroller and Auditor General (CGA) with the list of public institutions recorded in the Fourth Schedule of the Rules of Procedure.

At the beginning of the meeting, as it was the first meeting of the Public Institutions Committee of the 12th National Parliament, there was an introduction phase for all the members and officials present. In the meeting, all the family members of the martyrs, including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, who died on the night of August 15, 1975, 300,000 martyrs of the Liberation War, 200,000 mothers and sisters who lost their honor, four leaders of the nation and the martyrs of the language movement prayed for the forgiveness of their souls.
