BOLZANO. On lines 131 and 201 of Sasa have been put into service since December 30th, the first of 9 eCitaro fuel cell bus. These vehicles integrate a system hydrogen fuel cells which extends the autonomy of the electric motor, guaranteeing excellent performance even over long distances.

It is, explains a note, “an advanced technology, which also offers a concrete solution to the challenges of economic sustainability, reducing operating costs and improving energy efficiency, without compromising the comfort and safety of passengers”. “The prototype of this bus was tested in 2023 on the roads of our province – explains the provincial mobility councilor Daniel Alfreider – and affirms the role of our in-house company Sasa as a trailblazer for the commissioning of latest generation vehicles”.

“The commissioning of these bus at 18 meters – Sasa has purchased 9 of them – it is a significant achievement, as this technology will also allow us to serve extra-urban lines with more challenging topography and zero-emission vehicles”, declared the president of Sasa SpA Astrid Kofler.
