A journalist from CNet media was already able to put his hands on the new Sony console and present the first test of its function.
If your dream is to be able to try the new PS5 Pro, a journalist has already made it happen for you. In the United States, the media company CNet received an exclusive invitation to preview the new console from Sony. Even before the announcement of the device, journalist Scott Stein was able to spend several hours with the PS5 Pro in order to show his first impressions.
In his exclusive handling, the journalist stated that he was able to spend several hours to test different titles on the PS5 Pro. Among the games mentioned, Scott Stein was able to try the simulations F1 2024 and Gran Turismo 7, the adventure games Spider-Man 2 and Ratchet and Clank and the RPG Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth which we were able to test when it was released dropped .
Scott Stein pointed out that his test of the PS5 Pro in F1 2024 allowed him to observe the best performance of Ray Tracing technology during rainy car races. The graphics are more photo-realistic than on the classic PS5 and this is especially noticeable with the rain falling on the car in the game.
But the CNet reporter specifically mentioned his Gran Turismo demo to praise the merits of the PS5 Pro. In his exclusive test, Scott Stein explains: “Gran Turismo 7 can be my most impressive demo because it adds two other improvements: 8K quality gameplay and a large 80-inch screen (…) I am very satisfied by delivering the cars that I ended up breaking me.”
However, the journalist is well aware of the high price of the PS5 Pro (priced at 799.99 euros in France). Scott Stein therefore points out that this new feature is not aimed at all players, but at those who have a great compatibility setup to go with the console. The reporter also thinks that PS5 Pro is not particularly interesting for PS5 owners, but it can be accepted by new users.
