The fiscal reserve is sort of like our own checking accounts. We make expenses from them, but at the same time we receive income from them, said MP from PP-DB Venko Sabrutev in the program “This Morning” on BTV.

With this, he explained the discrepancy in the estimates of the size of the fiscal reserve in the statements of the former finance minister Asen Vasilev and the current Ludmila Petkova. The shock expenses made from the reserve at the beginning of April – for the debt of the capital heating system and for pensions, were imperative.

“But the reserve is assessed at the end of the month, and by then the revenues from VAT and taxes will come,” Sabrutev said.

According to him, the problem would come if the parliament continues as it is now to vote on additional expenses.
Collectability is good, but when they ended the derogation for Lukoil, the refinery imported smaller quantities of non-Russian oil than it could process, and accordingly it will import less to the treasury, Sabrutev said.

Sabrutev assessed the story with the former chief secretary of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, Zhivko Kotsev, as “a film that has already been seen”. “You remember what happened during the previous elections with Nexo – it was the entry of the authorities into the company’s offices, it was a big noise. In the end, it turned out that there was nothing to accuse,” he recalled.

He insisted on equality and an increase in the pensions of all pensioners, not just giving Easter supplements to certain pensioners and not giving them to others.

According to him, GERB and DPS make unplanned expenses. “Will they stop maternity services to give Easter supplements”, asked Venko Sabrutev.

What he expects is that the action in the “Customs” Agency and the scandals in the Ministry of Internal Affairs will be a pre-election smokescreen. “If Zhivko Kotsev is guilty, why is there no charge, but is brought in as an anonymous witness,” Sabrutev wonders.

The PP-DB parliamentary group also sees a GERB-DPS coalition before the early parliamentary elections. “The services work for GERB and DPS as political clubs,” Sabrutev also said.
