Passengers were frustrated when the plane, which was scheduled to depart from the United States and reach Japan within 12 hours, landed in the United States again 12 hours later.
The plane, which flew from Dallas to Tokyo, the capital of Japan, for about seven hours, made its way back to Los Angeles, United States, where it was unable to continue due to a volcanic eruption off the coast of Russia.
The plane took 12 hours to fly from Dallas to Los Angeles in just 3 hours, a passenger joked on Twitter.
