Climate change is causing a lag in the beginning of the seasons, particularly in the spring. This overtaking does not happen in the same way for all species of living beings. Until the length of the days is not adequate, many plants do not flower. However, some insects, particularly bumblebees, can come out of their hibernation state spurred by the change in temperature to find themselves in an environment that is still devoid of flowers. This can pose a serious risk to the survival of colonies of these intelligent insects. However, to reach our days, during their evolution, bumblebees have developed strategies to fight against the lag of spring that is now happening. They nibble on plants in a peculiar way to stimulate their flowering.
