Within a year, nearly 70,000 photovoltaic panels should grow on the former air base 217. The largest solar farm in Essonne will hatch on 34 ha of this military site located astride the towns of Plessis- Pâté and Brétigny-sur-Orge. The objective is to produce 40 gigawatt hours each year, or the energy consumption of 15,000 inhabitants.
