The founder of the Chinese Geely Holding Group, Eric Lee, has created a new company that will produce smartphones and other smart gadgets. Hubei Xingji Shidai Technology will be based in Wuhan and has already signed a strategic partnership with the Wuhan Economic and Technological Development Zone, Geely said in a statement.
According to Reuters, Mr. Li’s company will release its first smartphone in 2023 and intend to sell 3 million devices in the first year.

According to the agency, the initial funding for the project is $ 1.55 billion. Eric Lee owns 55% of the shares of the new company.
