The unique light-dynamic fountain, located in the park of the Tsaritsyno Museum-Reserve, will be overhauled. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in Petr Biryukov.
“This fountain is very popular among the citizens and is considered one of the most beautiful sights of the capital; it was launched in April 2007 along with the opening of the park after a large-scale reconstruction,” said Petr Biryukov. , subsidence of plates, replacement of pumps and other equipment, updating of the most complex acoustic and electronic control systems is required.
The major renovation work is scheduled to start in October, after the end of the fountain season, and be completed in the spring of 2023. During this time, electronic and acoustic fountain control systems, sound power amplifiers, underwater lamps with dynamic lighting, pumping equipment will be completely replaced. They will update the power supply and water supply systems, the granite lining of the fountain bowl, parapets, stairs and paving around the hydraulic structure. More than 4 thousand halogen lamps will be replaced with LED ones, 915 nozzles, 82 pumps and 35 kilometers of underwater cable. At the final stage, a new video surveillance system and a fire and security alarm system will be installed. The work will take place in the fountain bowl, pumping station and utility rooms. Heavy construction materials and equipment will be moved by a special self-propelled ferry, as the footbridges leading to the fountain have capacity restrictions.
“After the overhaul, the quality of the fountain will improve, new equipment and communications will add brightness of colors, dynamics, a variety of jet effects and sound quality,” the Deputy Mayor said. “Updated independent control lines for light and inkjet design will allow you to create an almost unlimited number of artistic compositions.”
