Four candidates elected by the department of Jutiapa will assume the next January 14 to integrate the period 2024-2028. Patricia Sandoval does not appear on the list.

Preliminary data from the Supreme Electoral Tribunal (TSE) show that the Vamos party added more than 30,000 votes, and with this, it assured that Maynor Estuardo Castillo will win his re-election. Castillo occupies a seat in this legislature for the UCN party, group that was canceled after its presidential candidate, Mario Estrada, was convicted in the United States for crimes related to drug trafficking.

The second group that achieved a good number of votes was Edmond Mulet’s Cabal party, with 21,871. That number secured a seat for Kevin Luis Carlo Escobar Castillo.

The match ALL added 21 thousand 123 votes and thereby ensured the entry of Marvin Adrian Zepeda.

The former director of the PNC won a seat

The Blue party was the surprise in Jutiapa by adding 18 thousand 964 votes. The group created in 2022 and that promoted the candidacy of Isaac Farchi, managed to occupy one of the four seats in the department.

The elected candidate is Nery Ramos, who was director of the National Civil Police (PNC) between 2015 and 2018. He was removed from office when Enrique Degenhart took over as interior minister.
