On the El Sunzal beach, the fourth day of the ISA World Longboard Championship takes place this Thursday, which, according to the Minister of Tourism, Morena Valdez has broken participation records.

“For us it is a pride that these new ambassadors recommend us and come back to the country. El Salvador is making history for surfing worldwide” indicated the head of the Tourism portfolio.

More than 100 athletes from 33 delegations from around the world compete in the organized surf tournament, positioning El Salvador as a safe destination to visit and develop international events.

According to the official’s statements, with this championship the Salvadoran territory is being the second country in the Central American and Caribbean region that receives the most visitors and the most foreign currency income through tourism.

“The mission of our organization is to improve the world through surfing. This sport contributes to improving people and this contributes to improving society”, stated the executive director of ISA, Robert Fasulo.
