For this first edition of the weekend, Mondial Sports is heading to Kinshasa: the 9th edition of the Games of La Francophonie began this Friday, July 28, 2023. Games which will end on August 6. After several postponements and relocation, they are being held for the first time since those in Abidjan in 2017. Cédric De Oliveira is on hand for RFI!
Women’s Tour de France
We will then go to the foot of the Tourmalet, a majestic peak in the Pyrenees, which the women’s Tour de France cyclists climbed this Saturday (July 29, 2023). A titanic effort, as Olivier Pron tells us.
French Athletics Championships
Also in France, the French athletics championships are taking place this weekend in Albi, in the Southwest, and Christophe Jousset could not miss it.
Football
Finally, a good portion of dessert to finish, and place to football: return to France / Brazil, shock of the Women’s World Cup at the end of the world, in Australia, under the eyes of Hugo Moissonnier. Without forgetting, of course, to go around the big European teams, which are preparing for the coming season all over the planet.
