The French magazine causes a stir again: Charlie Hebdo, a satirical French newspaper, published several cartoons against the supreme leader in Iran, Ali Khamenei, in the shadow of protests against the Iranian regime.

For example, a cartoon was published of the Iranian supreme leader hanging on the hair of Iranian women as he struggles to detach himself, this in the shadow of a protest against the obligation to wear the hijab in the theocratic-Islamic country.

Another published cartoon shows a girl-girl setting Khamenei’s beard on fire.

In response, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdelhian sent a threatening message on his Twitter account: “The insulting and disrespectful act of a French magazine by publishing cartoons against the religious and political authority will not pass without an effective and decisive response.
