The Minister of the Interior in charge in the National Unity Government, Chairman of the Fuel and Gas Crisis Committee, “Imad Mustafa Trabelsi,” confirmed during his meeting with security directors in the Western Region, “that security work must continue and fuel distribution should be followed up as it is a national issue.”

He added: “The fuel crisis is a thorny issue, and solutions have been developed for a number of problems,” saying: “Fuel tanks in the Airport Road area are suffering from damage, and solutions have been developed for unusable fuel.”

He said: “The committee’s efforts resulted in a clear breakthrough in the fuel crisis in the mountainous regions, and work must continue to solve the problems in all Libyan cities.”

He added: “Previous problems with fuel supply resulted from violations, but the reorganization of the Ras Ijdir port contributed to resolving this crisis in the areas surrounding the port, adding: “We worked seriously to combat fuel smuggling, and there is progress in reducing this phenomenon in some areas.”

Trabelsi stressed, “The necessity of working in a team spirit and enhancing cooperation among everyone to ensure security is achieved,” adding: “The police have become stronger compared to the past. There is tangible progress in the performance of police stations, criminal investigation departments, traffic and rescue departments, and the rest of the security services and departments.”

He added: “We are an integral part of the state, and our national duty is to protect the security of our homeland and its citizens,” adding: “I thank everyone who is jealous of their homeland and makes efforts to serve it, and we call on all officials, without exception, to work professionally and sincerely to serve the homeland.”
