The fury of hitting a six sent the Indian all-rounder hurling his head; Ambulance followed; Dramatic scenes
The 2022 Duleep Trophy venue has now witnessed a dramatic event. This incident, which shocked the cricket world, took place during a match between West Zone and Central Zone.
Central zone all-rounder and India player Venkatesh Iyer was bowled by the opposite bowler Chintan Gaja when he left the crease.
Iyer smashed Chintan Gaja for a six in the match. On the very next ball, Iyer attempted a shot and it went into the hands of the bowler.
Various national media reports that Chintan Gaja got hold of the ball and angrily threw it at Iyer. Iyer was falling on the ground with his head on.
Indian Express reports that after this, an ambulance reached the ground and took away the injured Iyer.
But after some time Iyer had returned. But Iyer returned without being able to contribute much. He managed to score only 14 runs from nine balls including a six.

The star was dismissed by Tanush Kotian in the 37th over. He returned to bat but was unable to field. Ashok Menaria replaced him in the field.
Earlier, the central zone won the toss and sent the west zone to bat. West Zone was bowled out for 257 runs.
Prithvi Shah (60), Rahul Tripathi (67), Shams Mulani (41) and Tanush Kotian (36) were the top scorers for West Zone.
Kumar Karthikeya took five wickets conceding 66 runs for the central zone.
In reply, the central zone was bowled out for 128 runs. The team’s top scorer is captain Karan Sharma who scored 34 runs.
Jaydev Unadkat took three wickets for West Zone conceding 24 runs and Tanush Kotian took three wickets conceding 17 runs. Atit Sheth (2/27), Chintan Gaja (1/25) and Shams Mulani (1/30) were the other wicket takers.
