DIG/ The Gabon Guarantee Company (SGG), an initiative of the Gabonese Strategic Investment Fund (FGIS), supported by Okoumé Capital, signed on Friday May 5, 2023, a framework agreement protocol for an indefinite period, with the Solidarité Africain (FSA), a major player in the economic development of 16 Member States including Gabon.
This agreement consists to strengthen the operational, technical and financial capacities of SGG in order to optimize its offer to credit institutions, necessary for the medium and long-term financing of SMEs and SMIs established in Gabon.
This partnership is part of the common missions of each party, namely:
• For the SFA: facilitate the financing of investment projects through its various intervention instruments, in particular individual guarantees, portfolio guarantees, refinancing, financing arrangements and interest rate subsidies;
• For SGG: provide financial institutions with guarantees and other similar or related financial products to facilitate the granting of credit (short, medium or long term) to Gabonese SMEs.
It should be noted that the interventions of the FSA in favor of the Gabonese economy amount, to date, to 91 billion FCFA. Which made it possible to raise global financing of 123 billion FCFA.
For the 2 partners, this collaboration aims to further strengthen ASF interventions in Gabon, thus helping to stimulate the country’s economic development.
