The games of the V edition of the Open Culture Game Jam, an initiative of DEV y Acción Cultural Española (AC/E)will be exhibited for two days at the headquarters of GameBCNthe video game incubator located in the center of cultural and artistic creation Palo Alto (Carrer dels Pellaires 30 – 38, Barcelona).

He Friday March 10 at 6:00 p.m. In the Sala Cortes de Palo Alto, an opening day of the exhibition will take place (limited capacity), which will have the talk “How to promote your project with budget 0”. For this, there will be Anabel Sanchez, specialized in video game marketing, who has worked both in studios, as publishers, as well as a teacher at the EOI and a mentor at La Brújula. Today she embarks on is the most exciting project of hers as founder and creative director at Malapata Studiowith the title Camper Van: Make it Home, a project in which he intends to put his years of experience in the video game sector. In recent months, the project has been on the lips of the entire Spanish indie video game industry, Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok and television, no means have escaped them to share with us all the making off and developing of this very cozy video game. For the game jam exhibition they will come to share some secrets and tips to create a good communication campaign for low budget indie games.

Following the talk, it will be possible to visit the exhibition of the Jam games, at the GameBCN premises, and a cocktail will be offered.

The 7 games highlighted by the organization, in addition to all the games developed throughout the 5 editions of the Game Jam, will be available to anyone who wants to try them also throughout Saturday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The purpose of the Open Culture Game Jam is to create games using public domain content from Spanish authors. All the games must follow the theme, but the participants are free to select the work (whether literary, pictorial or of another origin). As an additional theme, in this edition of the Jam we wanted to explore Spanish gastronomy in the Iberian Peninsula. The Jam featured two modalities, online and face-to-face. This second one was held in Barcelona at the headquarters of ENTI-UB, School of New Technologies.
