Gestapo Allegedly Committed Multiple Crimes After Release from Psychiatric Hospital
After being released from a psychiatric hospital, the Gestapo allegedly committed at least eight thefts, vandalized property, and robbed a passerby at knifepoint. P. Navickas, the suspect, is currently on trial for these crimes.
A hearing was held in court on Thursday to request an extension of the Gestapo’s arrest, which is deemed a danger to society. The court will announce its decision on Friday.
The prosecution argues that despite previous promises not to commit further crimes, the Gestapo has continued to engage in criminal behavior since his release. He has no stable income, a permanent address, or working ties, leading to concerns that he will continue to commit offenses or flee justice.
The Gestapo himself suggested that the court should decide on the issue of his arrest, while his lawyer requested milder pretrial measures such as house arrest or seizure of documents and registration at the police station.
The case has a long history, with the Gestapo previously committing crimes such as breaking into a truck, attempting to steal a car, robbing a commercial kiosk, and stealing a scooter. His accomplice, Žilvinas Žiemelis, is also on trial and faces potential prison time.
The Gestapo’s crime spree has spanned over three decades, and despite previous treatment, he remains a danger to society.
