A resident of Chechnya, Khalimat Taramova, said that her rights in the family were not violated, and there was no pressure on her. A fragment of the interview of human rights activists with the girl and her father was published by the Grozny TV channel. Earlier, Ms Taramova stated that she left home, fleeing the beatings, and asked not to declare her wanted and not to report her whereabouts.

“No, my rights are not violated. I am with my family, parents, relatives. I am doing well, there is no pressure in my direction. Everyone supports me, they calm me down, ”said Khalimat Taramova. She said that before leaving for Makhachkala she talked with psychologists. The girl also noted that she did not remember how she ended up in the apartment where the human rights activists were hiding: “How I got there, everything is in a fog”.

On June 11, journalist and human rights activist Svetlana Anokhina reported that Dagestani police officers helped to enter the crisis apartment for women by unknown persons – presumably the Chechen security forces. They took Khalimat Taramova away by force.

In the report of “Grozny,” the deputy head of the police department in the Baysangurovsky district of Grozny, Suleiman Dubaev, said that the authorities in the Chechen Republic and in other regions were targeted upon the girl’s leaving home. Later it was confirmed that Khalimat Taramova was in Dagestan, the 22-year-old girl was taken to the police department and handed over to her father.
