Bulgaria’s under-16 girls’ national team continued their great performance at the UEFA Development Tournament by recording a second straight win – this time 2-1 against the competition’s hosts Malta. Accurate for the success of our girls were Katerina-Maria Ravnachka in the 16th minute and Vesela Kalinova after a little more than half an hour of play.

In the first match, the selection of Valentina Gospodinova prevailed with a decisive 4:1 over Andorra. Thus, the Bulgarian women now have 6 points, and they will be able to consolidate their leadership position in their last match, which is against Montenegro on Sunday, April 7. The UEFA Development Tournament is an initiative in which teams from the intermediate ages – under-16 or under-18 – take part. For them, the year is empty in terms of European qualifications and the European headquarters is trying to enrich their calendar with more meetings.
