Eliran Eliya, deputy mayor, screenwriter and director and the initiator of the festival, stated in his words: “The Or Yehuda Festival for Young Cinema, which opens its doors to the best students of media and cinema in Israel, is a vibrant artistic experience, young in spirit, pluralistic and full of magic. The excitement that a young film festival brings to the Light of Yehuda positions us as a city of freedom of expression and a bastion of creative freedom, for people of all religions, and for all those who believe in the importance of humanism and art education. My warmest congratulations to all those who do the craft with dedication and investment, and to the young creators from all over the country, continued blessed work.”

The mayor, Liat Shohat, states: “The “Golden Light” festival is taking place for the fourth year in Or Yehuda, which with its development has emphasized the field of culture, cinema and creativity and invests many resources to be a center of attraction for creators. Over the past few years we have hosted many productions that have found a warm place and a home in our city to create films and original productions. I want to thank everyone who came and especially our film students. Congratulations to Shushi Altman, the program coordinator at Beit Eckstein High School, and Mordi Gigi, the school’s principal, for the great honor of winning the title of Commendation for the Youth Film”.
