Chennai: Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M. K. Stalin has posted the news that the family who sold the Gopalapuram house to former Chief Minister Karunanidhi visited the house.

In this regard, the Chief Minister said on his Twitter page, “Home is the dream of many people. The joy we get when we get a dream house is immeasurable. Houses become a relationship with us and our family and become our identity. The identity of our family is the Gopalapuram house. The Gopalapuram house is the reward of the writing skills shown by the leading artist in the film industry.

This house became a relationship not only for our family but also for another family. The leader bought the Gopalapuram house from Sarabeswarar in March 1955.

Her granddaughter’s marriage was fixed in June of the same year. Even though the house was purchased, Sarabeswarar agreed to host his granddaughter’s wedding at his Gopalapuram home.

I learned through the media that Saroja Sitharaman, who had returned from America, wanted to see the Gopalapuram house where he got married that day. I took his family home to Gopalapuram.

The house, which is related to both families, stood tall as a bridge of friendship and looked at us with love.”
