Kochi: Dr. Sisa Thomas questioned the government’s petition for appointment of temporary VC of Technical University. Sisa Thomas said in the affidavit that the government cannot question the Governor’s order and the petition will not stand. Sisa Thomas also pointed out that he is qualified to be the Vice Chancellor.
He has thirty one and a half years of teaching experience. Worked as a professor for 13 years. Dr. Sisa Thomas has given an affidavit pointing out the opposition and protest from the university officials and the student body when he came to take charge. They also sought to examine whether the Additional Secretary has the authority to approach the court on behalf of the government.
At the same time, Dr. Rajshree filed a review petition in the Supreme Court. The main demand in the petition is that salary and other benefits should not be recovered. Appointment of Dr. Rajashree MS as Vice Chancellor of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University (KTU) has been canceled by the Supreme Court.
