The Government does not rest even on holidays to continue selling the revenues of his administration and attacking the main opposition party for what they consider to be their lack of patriotism. In these terms, the Minister of the Presidency, Félix Bolaños, spoke today, urging the president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, to do not “grumble” because Spain is doing well and asking him for “patriotism” and that he “wish our country do well.”
Bolaños, who was participating in a political act in Cudillero, accompanied by the mayor of the municipality, Carlos Valle, and the president of the Principality of Asturias and general secretary of the Asturian Socialist Federation (FSA-PSOE), Adrián Barbón, has visited the areas most affected by forest fires in Valdés in recent weeks. An enclave, which he considered propitious, to advise Feijóo and his family to “arm themselves with patience” because in 2023 “the Spanish men and women will do better no matter how much the right wing complains in our country.”
“Thanks to the efforts of the Government,” he added, the economic figures in terms of employment and pensions “are positive”. “We are creating more and better jobs,” he claimed, recalling the criticism from the PP when the rise in the Minimum Interprofessional Wage was announced. “The right wing said that we were going to create a lot of unemployment,” he assured, pointing out that “the prophets of disaster” are “a disaster as prophets.”
Thus, he has argued that more employment is being created and that it is “of a higher quality” because one of every two contracts is permanent. “The Socialists undoubtedly manage much better than others than ‘a lot of lirili and little lerele'”, she remarked. Regarding pensions, he has questioned Feijóo’s position in defense of the French system. “There were those who said they preferred the French model, but exactly what do you prefer about the French model? That we have to work longer to retire? That we have a lower pension, or the streets on fire?” , has been asked in a battery of questions. Faced with this model, Bolaños has extolled Spanish, an agreement “with social peace” that makes it possible to guarantee a “fair” public system. “The predictions and the Apocalypse do not stop arriving,” he has insisted.
The same thing happens, he added, with inflation. “We know that we have a difficulty with inflation,” he acknowledged., with the increase in the price of food and other products. However, he has said that he can recognize “with reasonable pride” that the policies of the Government of Spain “are working”, having dropped almost 8 points in 8 months of CPI. “Today we have the second lowest inflation in the European Union,” she applauded.
This Holy Week, added the Minister of the Presidency, “demonstrates” that the economic and employment figures “are a reality”, with “extraordinary” data in tourism, economic and employment terms. It is perceived, in his opinion, that there is “joy” and “optimism”, with a Spain that “looks to the future” just as there is another “in black and white that looks to the past”.
Address to the socialist troops
During his speech, Bolaños assured that the electoral campaign for the regional and local elections it’s going to be “nice” and in it the PSOE will speak of the local, the regional and the national, of everything that has been done to present itself to the Spanish with an “indisputable” service record.
To the Socialists who have participated in the public act, he has asked “joy, optimism, good spirits and humility” to explain everything done. “Wherever there is a mayor, a mayor, a president, a socialist president, there is someone who looks out for the citizens every day to take care of them and to protect them at any time in their lives,” he assured.
Bolaños has summoned the socialists to speak “of what worries the citizens” in the electoral campaign, mentioning aspects such as health, education or employment. The minister has also addressed the Asturian president, Adrián Barbón, whom he has told that he is “a proud colleague and president” for his work leading the Government these four years in the face of the pandemic, its consequences, the war in Ukraine and more recently in the wave of fires. The Asturians, he has assured, “will be enormously grateful” that he continues to be president for four more years.
The mayor of Cudillero, Carlos Valle, has been told that he is “one of the best mayors in Spain” for having managed to “change” Cudillero “from start to finish” by recovering its tourism potential and investing. Bolaños ended by recalling the Government’s commitment to the Principality, noting that the Executive of Pedro Sánchez has invested 30% in five years than the previous Government of Mariano Rajoy.
