The Government Council adopts a draft decree relating to the creation of territorial health groups
Rabat – The Government Council adopted, on Thursday, draft decree No. 2.23.1054 implementing certain provisions of Law No. 08.22 relating to the creation of territorial health groups, presented by the Minister of Health and Protection social, Khalid Ait Taleb.
This project is part of the implementation of the regulatory provisions of Law No. 08.22 relating to the creation of territorial health groups, in particular articles 3, 6 and 20, in application of the High Royal Guidelines aimed at promoting national health system and to improve its attractiveness, so as to ensure the provision of health services for the benefit of the population in an equitable and just manner at the territorial level, indicated the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament, spokesperson for the government, Mustapha Baitas during a press briefing after the Council.
Under this text, a new mode of governance of the health system was adopted, based on the regional dimension and on proximity to citizens, according to precise objectives and a long-term strategic vision, through the creation of territorial health groups, as public institutions responsible for applying State health policy at the regional level, he said.
This draft decree also includes provisions aimed at transferring supervision of territorial health groups to the government authority in charge of health, added Mr. Baitas.
