Another $1.5 billion with discounted rates will be distributed among tourism companies in Salta according to the agreement that the Ministers of Economy and Public Services and of Tourism and Sports, Robert Dib Ashur and Mario Rocksigned with the president of the Salta Chamber of Tourism, Juan Lucero and the zonal manager of Banco Nación, Walter Quispe.

This financing is added to the $1,000 million that was already delivered to the sector for the development and strengthening of gastronomic and hotel tourism projects in different parts of the province. Dib Ashur emphasized the expansion of the line of credit whose rate will be subsidized by 5% by the Province and 15% by the Nation.

“We are promoting this expansion for investments in hotels and gastronomy. The first line of $1,000 was awarded in full. There are investments in Capital, Cachi, Cafayate and this increases the tourism offer of the province,” said Dib Ashur to highlight that tourism represents between 7% and 8% of the gross product: “Continuing with the investment is very important.”

Peña confirmed that tourism is a generator of investments and jobs. The official mentioned the governor’s political decision Gustavo Saenz to grow the activity, to accompany entrepreneurs with actions like this. “The benefit in the future is more work for the people of Salta, supporting companies that want to renew, that want to invest in tourism; Each of these works will require trained, Salta-based human resources and new jobs,” he said to highlight that Salta, after the Federal Capital, is the one with the greatest investment in all of Argentina in tourism activity.

For the zonal manager of Banco Nación, the agreement is relevant for the tourism sector because the Salta Government adds a 5% bonus for all projects carried out in the province. “It is a pleasure to work with local authorities because of their willingness to support the different sectors,” he indicated.

Lucero commented that entrepreneurs will be able to grow with investment and mentioned, as an example, the need for them to adapt to new tourism trends. For the businessman this is “one more example of what the Province and the private sector achieve to keep tourism growing.”
