The Directorate of Agriculture Marketing has fixed the prices of 29 daily commodities including fish and meat on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan. This information was informed in a circular on Friday (March 15). Various agencies of the government will work to ensure the sale of products according to this price.

According to the notification, under the power of Section 4 (j) of the Agricultural Marketing Act, 2018, the Directorate of Agricultural Marketing has determined the reasonable price of agricultural products. Agricultural produce is requested to be bought and sold at the following prices till further instructions.

The new price has been fixed at three levels. The maximum price of a product at the producer level, the wholesale market and the retail price at the consumer level are determined.

According to the new fixed price, gram can be sold at a maximum price of Tk 93 and a half in the wholesale market and Tk 98 at the retail level. The retail price of lentils will be Tk 130 50 paise and coarse grain lentils will be sold at Tk 105 50 paise. The maximum retail price of khesari dal will be Tk 93. Besides, Maskalai 166 taka 50 paisa and Mugdal retail market has fixed the maximum price of taka 165 paisa.

The maximum retail price of beef per kg has been fixed at Tk 664. In addition, the price of goat meat is 1 thousand 3 taka. And among fish, the retail price of pangas has been set at 181 taka and the maximum price of catla fish has been set at 354 taka.

Apart from this, buyers can buy broiler chicken at Tk 175 and golden chicken at Tk 262. Besides, the price of each piece of egg will be 10 and a half taka.

The price of desi onion has been fixed at Tk 65 and garlic will be sold at Tk 120 and ginger at Tk 180. Besides, the maximum price of dry chillies will be 327 taka and raw chillies can be bought at 60 takas in the retail market.

On the other hand, among vegetables, cabbage and cauliflower have been set at Tk 30, eggplant and beans at Tk 50 and potatoes at Tk 28 and a half. Apart from this, the organization has fixed the retail price of tomato at 40 taka, sweet pumpkin at 24 taka per kg.

On the other hand, the price of Jahedi dates per kg in the market has been fixed at Tk 155. Sea Banana is currently priced at Tk 30 retail. Apart from this, the Agriculture Marketing Department has fixed the retail price of chira at 60 taka and gram flour at 121 taka.
