“The Government is putting immigrants on planes and leaving them at bus stops”

The president of the PP, Alberto Núñez Feijóo, joined this Friday in the speech of the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, and an increasingly broad sector of the party, in the face of the migration crisis. All this following the path of the extreme right that disqualifies the Government’s management and links it to crime.

The Government will create two emergency camps on military lands in Madrid to accommodate migrants arriving in the Canary Islands

Regarding immigrants, Feijóo has assured that “the Government is putting them on planes and leaving them at bus stops in the towns and cities of Spain” and that it has done so “without speaking to the authorities who will care for them, without speaking to the autonomous communities that must care for minors.”

In an interview on Canal Sur Radio, Feijóo opted for “repatriation.” And he has said that the Executive has created “enormous tension with mayors and presidents” due to its immigration policies. He has also charged against the “enormous improvisation and contradiction due to the absence of immigration policy” of the Executive.

Feijóo’s words come when the most right-wing sector of the Popular Party led by the Madrid president, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, has assumed the xenophobic discourse of the extreme right to attack the Government in office for the migration crisis that the Canary Islands have been experiencing for weeks.

The increase in the arrival of people from the African coasts to the islands has accelerated and increased their transfer to the Peninsula. And Vox has taken the opportunity, once again, to stir up fear, propose illegal measures and spread hoaxes. The novelty is that part of the PP has joined in launching inflammatory proclamations that point to migrants as risks to “national security” or public health. And this Friday Feijóo joins that wave.
