To boost consumption at Christmas, the government is working on extra cashback for December spending. This is a 10% refund, out of a maximum of 150 euros, for each purchase made by paying with electronic money (ATMs, credit cards) in physical stores. It will be valid for in-app payments such as Apple Pay, Samsung Pay or Satispay and cannot be used for online purchases. It has not yet been established when it will go into effect, but it will be ready in early December. The beneficiaries will be adults residing in Italy who carry out at least 10 transactions with registered cards for private purchases. To use it, you will need to register with the “Io” app of the public administration or on other systems made available by the operators affiliated with PagoPa, and provide the tax code, card details and Iban.
