Artak Beglaryan, the former state minister of Artsakh, former HRD, has stated that there are various pressures on some active members of the initiative to ensure the needs of the people of Artsakh.

1. They give vague signals about making certain significant improvements in the discussed housing and social programs.

2. Using their propaganda machine, they are trying to create tension between our compatriots in Artsakh and Armenia by putting a false sign of equality between needs, presenting a false accusation of avoiding military service, presenting the topic as purely financial, attaching an internal political label to the Initiative, etc. In fact, all these theses are false and aim to manipulate public opinion.

3. Once again, governors, heads of communities and other local officials became active, starting meetings with Artsakh citizens living in their area of responsibility. At these meetings, they address specific issues, gauge sentiments, and try to create the impression of a public discussion, in order to then question the broader public nature of the Initiative and prevent people from being involved in further struggle. In any case, meetings are welcome as long as they are ongoing and are done with the genuine purpose of solving people’s problems.

4. Various pressures are being exerted on some active members of the Initiative while trying to divert the Initiative and divide it.

P.S. I remind you that the Initiative is organizing a rally on March 20, at 3:30 p.m., in Yerevan’s Freedom Square, in order to protect the rights and needs of the people of Artsakh.

JOIN if you are concerned about the fate of the people of Artsakh and the protection of their rights,” Beglaryan wrote on Facebook.
