The Government launches ‘My Citizen Folder’, the ‘app’ with which you can have your official documentation on your mobile

The bureaucracy can now be resolved from the mobile. At least that is what the Government intends with the launch of the appMy Citizen Folder‘. With it, any user can consult different personal data, find out about the status of their files in process and find out if they have pending notifications.

As they explain from La Moncloa, this version includes a mobile application, a web page and a virtual assistant and with these tools they seek to simplify the relationship through the internet and improve the interaction between the administration and the citizenryin an “accessible, proactive and personalized way” from any device.

This “citizen empowerment tool”, as it has been defined by the Government, also aims to reduce both the digital divide and displacement and the unnecessary use of face-to-face resources, reports EP.

For this, ‘My Citizen Folder’ includes two big news: a new mobile ‘app’ and a virtual assistant called Ada, capable of understanding and guiding the user to the corresponding section where the requested information appears.

From the application, users will be able to carry out various procedures such as consultation of your data in different administrations, such as real estate and unemployment benefit, in addition to download receipts in PDF format whenever possible. All this information will be offered in real time.

Citizens will also be able to see a calendar with its different appointments in different public bodies, such as civil registries. They can also check the processing status of your various files and confirm the expiration date of certain documentssuch as your ID and passport.

How does it work?

To access this tool, the user must be authenticated through the methods available in the key systemthe common identification platform for public services: PIN Code, Permanent Code, Electronic Certificate or DNIe.

The new ‘My Citizen Folder’ is now available in both its web and mobile versions. Its launch has taken place in the form of pilot programwhich will run until the end of the year with a view to its final debut in 2023.

From this moment on, both the website and the application make a form available to the user from which suggestions are collected to introduce modifications in the future. In this way, any person, association or institution can participate and submit their comments.
