jpnn.com – Chairman of Commission VII DPR RI Saleh Partaonan Daulay believes that Indonesia is required to organize and build a just economic system that empowers all people.

Regarding this economic development, he hopes that President Prabowo Subianto’s government can spur efforts to develop MSMEs and the creative economy.

He said special attention and handling was needed in the MSME and creative economy sectors, because competition in these sectors was increasingly felt at regional, national and even global levels. “Digital technology makes competition even tighter,” said Saleh, Friday (3/1/2025).

The development of e-commerce means that there are no longer time and space boundaries in trading. Goods do not need to be taken to market. Simply arranged and stacked in the warehouse.

“Buyers are offered online. Meanwhile, the goods are delivered directly to their respective addresses,” he said.

If you look closely, most of the goods circulating in Indonesia are not domestic products. Imported goods dominate. The price is very cheap and below the price of domestic goods.

“If this is the case, Indonesia will clearly become a market for other people. The basis for developing the people’s economy will be hampered. The money in society will actually be collected and accumulated by foreign traders,” he explained.

In this context, the PAN legislator hopes that President Prabowo can increase the competitiveness of MSME products and Indonesia’s creative economy. He saw a lot of potential in young people.
