The Government has published the call for the line related to the electric and connected vehicle value chain of the second call for the Strategic Project for the Recovery and Economic Transformation of the Electric and Connected Vehicle (Perte VEC), which will have some 559 million euros, while the window to present projects will open on August 16 and will be available until September 15.

As the Executive has published in the Official State Gazette (BOE) this Thursday, the maximum total amount called will be 344.42 million euros in the form of a grant and 215.24 million in the form of loans, which will be reimbursable at the interest of 2.88% and with a total repayment term of 10 years with a 3-year grace period.

As in the first line of the Perte VEC II presented at the beginning of July, related to the production of batteries, the resolution of projects will be by a simple competition system, that is, by order of arrival, as well as the possibility of presenting individual projects instead of around a tractor project.

This line is intended to support investments linked to the industrial value chain of the electric and connected vehicle, as well as its systems, subsystems and components, in addition to some necessary auxiliary infrastructure systems.

The acting Minister of Industry, Commerce and Tourism, Héctor Gómez, has assured that “this is a decisive step” that responds to the demands of the automotive sector in Spain and that places Spain “at the forefront of mobility green and sustainable in Europe.

In total, between the two lines, the one published this Thursday and the one related to the production of batteries, the budget reaches 1,409 million euros.
