The government responded to more than 70% of the 22,106 written questions from the two Houses of Parliament (Baitas)
Rabat – The government responded to 15,843 written questions from the two Houses of Parliament out of a total of 22,106 since the start of the legislature, a rate which exceeds 71.67%, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament said on Monday, government spokesperson, Mustapha Baitas.
This is a “remarkable” record, he underlined in response to an oral question in the House of Representatives.
In comparison with the two previous legislatures, the minister said that the government received during the 10th legislature 15,751 questions and answered 8,583 (54%), while during the 9th legislature it received 17,264 questions and answered 7,034 (40.72%).
Mr. Baitas also noted that the figures relating to the current legislature reflect the strength of the action of Parliament and the great interaction of the government with the legislative institution, without forgetting the effectiveness of the IT system which allows the ministerial departments concerned to instantly receive written questions to answer them promptly.
