The Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East and VEB were instructed to work out the issue of financing the production of the nine-seat TVS-2DTS aircraft, a prototype of which was created by the Siberian Research Institute of Aviation named after V.I. Chaplygin (SibNIA, Novosibirsk). Such an order was given by the Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev, three sources in the industry told Vedomosti.
In addition, SibNIA, Russian Helicopters (part of Rostec) and Rosaviatsia should discuss the issue of certification of this aircraft, including its timing and cost. It is assumed that the plane will be supplied by the united Far Eastern airline, created on the basis of the carrier “Aurora”, says one of the interlocutors. Today “Aurora” flies on Canadian DHC-8 and Twin Otter.
