Acquisition for specific equipment: The government wants to modernize the ORTB

One of the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers on Wednesday July 12, 2023 is the acquisition of equipment for the benefit of the Benin Radio and Television Office (ORTB). This government decision is part of the vision to improve the technical quality of the Office’s television publishing channel. According to the report of the Council of Ministers, the technical assistance of a reference partner was requested and its mission made it possible, among other things, to carry out a flash audit of the infrastructures, equipment and technical systems, processes, expertise and organization in place within the office. Among the remedial actions identified to ensure its increased performance, is the acquisition of specific equipment that will make it possible to operationalize the new television news set already acquired. The final objective is the modernization of the channel, while offering viewers an attractive aesthetic, including the reinforcement of studio production at the level of Radio Benin. The Minister of Digital and Digitization, Adam Soulé Zoumarou has been instructed to take the necessary steps to achieve this.
