Kochi: Governor Arif Mohammad Khan had approved the recommendation to give de-lit to three students, including actress Shobhana, at Kalady University. This has been approved by the Governor.
The Harippad MLA yesterday asked what action the governor had taken on the recommendation of Kalady University to give de-lit to three students. Ramesh was looking for Chennithala. It is on this subject that clarity has now come. Yesterday, Ramesh Chennithala raised six questions, including that the issue between the governor and the state government was due to the President not giving D-lit.
Did the Vice-Chancellor of Kalady Sanskrit University, who resigned last month, submit to the Governor’s approval the decision to award Honorary D Lit to three persons before his term expires? If so, when was the list submitted? Whose name is on the list? The question was, “Is the university convinced that the list has not yet received the governor’s assent?”
The answer to this question of Chennithala has now come out. Shobhana, N.P. Unni, T.M. Krishna’s recommendation to grant D-lit has been approved by the Governor. The date on the permit document is November 3rd. But so far no action has been taken in connection with the issuance of D-Lit. The university said the ceremony was not held because the governor was not at the venue and was busy.
