Gasoline prices in Kamchatka are growing at a galloping pace, but the regional leadership cannot regulate this area, said Kamchatka Governor Vladimir Solodov, answering questions from residents during a live broadcast on Instagram.

“We see that prices are going up. Unfortunately, this is also the effect of the coronavirus and supply disruptions, but what is happening with gasoline, of course, shocks me, ”Solodov said.

The governor stressed that he cannot directly regulate gasoline prices, but has already asked the Federal Antimonopoly Service to check the validity of the actions of the largest oil traders. According to him, the FAS did not reveal any violations. Gasoline rises in price throughout the country, said Solodov.

“Among the Far Eastern regions that do not have direct access to the railroad, gasoline in Kamchatka is the cheapest: cheaper than in Magadan, Chukotka, Sakhalin and Yakutia. But this does not mean that there is no need to fight it. Unfortunately, the only option is a negotiating position, I plan to hold negotiations with the leadership in the near future. I, as well as you, are upset by this situation, ”said the governor.

Fuel in Kamchatka has risen in price for the ninth time since the beginning of the year. As reported by the “Kam24” agency, on November 10 at the filling stations of the “NNK-Kamchatnefteprodukt” company, prices for gasoline and diesel fuel increased. Now in the region the actual price of a liter of AI-92 is 53.29 rubles. (was 52.67), AI-95 – 57.39 rubles. (was 56.69), AI-98 – 61.37 rubles. (was 59.87).
