«We welcome with great satisfaction the green light from the Region to the tax exemption of overtime for doctors and nurses and in general for all Sicilian healthcare personnel involved in reducing waiting lists».
This was stated by Pino Galluzzo, regional deputy of Fratelli d’Italia and member of the Ars Health Commission, commenting on today’s directive (September 20) with which the general manager of Strategic Planning, Salvatore Iacolino, communicated to the general managers the positive opinion he had requested from the Department of Economy and adding: «We of Fratelli d’Italia had urged this provision, foreseen throughout Italy by a recent law of the national government led by our Giorgia Meloni. We are aware, in fact, that the 15 percent tax relief to incentivize health workers to stay in the ward beyond working hours is fundamental in order to clear waiting lists and guarantee increasingly timely care for Sicilians».
