Verticality for more urban greening is the credo of the young Toulouse company Eautours, which designs and manufactures green towers and walls that save water and space. Founded in Toulouse in 2021, it has just reached an important milestone for its development, with the listing of its products in 300 points of sale in France, in mass distribution.
Its towers, where flowers, vegetables, fruits or herbs grow, will be available at Truffaut, Leroy Merlin, on the Nature & Découvertes marketplace and in certain independent Jardilands. “Our goal is to save water and optimize space so that everyone can become a gardener, even in an apartment,” emphasizes Robin Junot, founder of Eautours, with Sophie Maurel.
It measures… 2024 millimeters!
“All our products are equipped with a water retention kit so you can go on a weekend without worrying about the plants,” continues the founder. We also have a Kids mini-tour aimed at children to raise their awareness of the issues of water, urban greening and food waste. Three Toulouse schools are already equipped with them. »
Companies wishing to green their offices are also in the sights of Eautours, which produces its towers in the region, in Aucamville, Rodez, Castres and Revel. But, to make its products known, the company has a more completely secret tool: the Eautours Eiffel, exhibited at the recent Made in France show, a green Eiffel Tower, in a nod to the Olympics.
Toulouse entrepreneurs hope to convince the Organizing Committee of the Olympic Games to install it in the Olympic village. “Eautours Eiffel”, a miniature and plant version of the Iron Lady measuring 2 meters (2024 millimeters to be exact!) for a price of around 2,000 euros, has already attracted several companies and even a few individuals.
The young Toulouse company produced 6,000 units this year but is aiming for 40,000 in 2024, with this establishment in mass distribution. To attack the American market, Eautours also wants to launch direct sales on Amazon next year.
