The empty display case in the Green Vault looks like a wound. Now most of the valuables stolen in 2019 can be put back on display. Some pieces are also missing badly.

Dresden.

The green vault will soon display the stolen artifacts in 2019 and return them to their original place. Media representatives are first invited to the presentation at the Treasury Museum next Tuesday.

A robbery at the famous Treasure Museum of Saxony on November 25, 2019 was considered one of the most spectacular art thefts in Germany. The investigators stole 21 pieces of diamond and glitter jewelry and caused damage of over one million euros, also because they set one of their getaway cars on fire in the underground garage of the building a residence.

There is still no trace of some of the most valuable pieces

In June 2023, the Dresden District Court sentenced five young men from the Berlin Remmo family to several years in prison. This is preceded by an agreement between those involved in the process. Part of the deal was also the return of a large part of the loot. However, there is no trace of some of the most valuable pieces.
