A few minutes before the opening match of the new season between ASSE and Grenoble, Max Marty the president of GF38 spoke at the microphone of beIN Sport.
The president of Grenoble gave beIN Sport a few minutes on one of the cases that punctuated the Isère transfer window this summer: the dismissal of Jordan Tell. The 26-year-old striker was fired by the club for participating in the Gold Cup with his national team, Guadeloupe.
«He played a competition which is official but with a selection which is not registered with Fifa. It is a regional selection. If all the regional selections start taking players out of date, we’re not going to get out of it. The player has been warned several times».
Marty does not stop there and even knocks out the UNFP in the file: “Two types of people were indignant: some players because they are used to privileges and all of a sudden they realize that in certain clubs, it does not work. And the UNFP because it is a union that engages in clientelism and defends its clients. Afterwards, when we discuss individually with them, I think that they are intelligent people and quite capable of understanding our position.»
