When Sara, 18, graduates, her mother will not be there.
The trial is now underway against the 23-year-old man who is suspected of taking Joullnar’s life and hiding her body in the forest.
In the podcast Aftonbladet Krim, Sara talks about the grief and loss.
Joullnar, 43, disappeared from his home in Gothenburg on the morning of February 24 last year.
In the evening she would celebrate her birthday with her children. She promised to come home at four o’clock in the afternoon. But she didn’t.
Daughter Sara lay awake and waited.
Then followed a month of agony.
On March 20, Joullnar’s dead body was found in the forest in Taberg outside Jönköping. A 23-year-old man, who lived a stone’s throw from the place where her body was buried, was arrested.

Sara follows the trial on site together with the rest of the family.
– I think it is important to get an end, says Sara.
Sara and her brother live with the father, but the relationship with the mother was warm and close.
– She had a great heart. And she was a really good mother to me and my older brother.
Joullnar dreamed of working in the beauty industry.
– She wanted to work in a nail salon with a stylist and things like that, says Sara.
– She was not like all other mothers, she thought a little more like young people. She liked to buy us lots of presents. She liked to take pictures of us. She was unique.

Sara says that the police told the family that they were not completely sure that it was Joullnar who had been found in Taberg.
– Then I asked them if the woman who was found dead had a tattoo on her arm. They said she had it. So I asked, were there two names? And they said yes. Then I said, okay, she is. Then there was no talk of the matter.
Sara’s mother had her and her older brother’s names tattooed on her forearm.

In the podcast Aftonbladet Krim, Sara talks about how the family feels that the police did not take her mother’s disappearance seriously. In the podcast, the responsible police respond to the criticism.
Next summer, Sara will graduate. Then her mother won’t be there.
– It will also feel very sad. It will take a lot on me. When I graduate, when I get married, it will feel too hard that my mother will not be by my side. She was mostly looking forward to all this, and now she won’t be there.
