Inbest GPF Socimi has bought one of the most unique buildings in Madrid, Velázquez 21, owned by the Grifols family and located in the Salamanca district, becoming the third asset that the socimi has purchased since its debut in July 2022.
This historic building dates from 1904 and was awarded the City Council prize for the ‘Best House Built’ in 1907 by the Madrid City Council.
Inbest GPF, which has already reached an investment of 175 million euros with this operation, will use this asset to create a residential building with four floors of more than 1,000 m2 and the possibility of building 8 luxury homes of more than 500 m2 each.
“The unique structure of the asset and its exceptional location at an intersection will allow Inbest GPF to create the best commercial or restaurant premises with access from Jorge Juan street, totally independent from the residential area”, the company has defended.
To do this, Inbest GPF, which already has the final approval of the special plan and the building permit, will undertake a comprehensive reform in which it will recover the original essence of the building, restoring the exterior and interior elements that have been lost over time. weather.
In July 2022, the investment firms Inbest and GPF Capital came together to create this socimi, with the objective of purchasing assets for more than 500 million euros.
