DECRYPTION – The sector is preparing for a turnaround after the explosion of openings in recent years.

Cold snap on dental centers. Two centers under the Bloomsquare Studio brand, located in Paris and Levallois-Perret, closed their doors in March after the placement in compulsory liquidation of their parent company, Estimm. Same fate for the Parisian mutual center René-Laborie, which provided medical and dental care, finally taken over by the company SoMed. Graffiti also covered the facade of the Elise dental center on boulevard Jules Ferry (Paris 11e), closed for several weeks. Each time, hundreds of patients are left behind with unfinished implants, gutters or orthodontic treatment.

Since the beginning of the year, the closures of dental centers have multiplied in the capital. Management errors, too rapid growth or difficulties in finding dentists are singled out. It must be said that Paris, like most of the country’s major cities, has experienced an explosion in the number of centers in recent years…
