Kochi: Roy Violet, owner of Hotel No. 18, has been remanded in custody by the Kochi Police for allegedly assaulting a guest at a hotel. Eight people were taken into custody, including Roy Violet and two hotel employees. The action was taken on the complaint of Fayaz, a native of Cherthala. CCTV footage of Fayaz being beaten came out.
Fayaz arrived at the hotel on the 4th to attend a DJ party. However, Roy Violet and others asked Fayaz not to dance during the DJ party. Later, Fayaz demanded a refund for attending the DJ party. He was beaten during the ensuing dispute.
