Passengers were greatly inconvenienced by the train engine malfunction.
The Sangamitra Express from Patna to Bangalore reached Katpadi railway station in Vellore district. Then the train departed. In this situation, the train could not move due to engine failure while passing near Valathur. Railway officials were informed about this.
The replacement engine was then called and the boxes were attached and the train departed about 1 1/2 hours late. This caused great inconvenience to the passengers on the train. Following this, railway engineers came and repaired the faulty locomotive.
