Among these contents, for example, one could find particularly successful series such as “Game of Thrones”, “True Detective”, “The Leftovers”, “Veep”, “Girls”, “The Sopranos”, “The Undercover”, “Deep in the Ground”, “Kiss Brothers” “Heirs”, “Euphoria”, “White Lotus”, “Westworld”, “Big Little Lies” and so many other quality content.

In April 2017 Cellcom also joined and added the contents of the American cable giant to its television service. With all three companies, HBO’s contract ends on December 31st, at the very end of this month. Wow! They revealed a number of particularly interesting details about the possibility that HBO content will no longer be broadcast in Israel.

As you remember, Warner Brothers and Discovery merged into one company, the one who became its CEO is Discovery CEO David Zaslav, who brought a new agenda with him. This has included removing less-watched content from HBO Max so they don’t have to pay licensing fees, canceling expensive existing projects, and even recently it culminated in the news that he is re-examining the licensing terms that Warner gives Netflix for series it produces for it.

In addition, Zaslav is no longer interested in exclusivity. Warner content, including HBO, may also be available on other platforms. New movies may make their way from the theater to some other streaming service before finally arriving on HBO Max. Yes, Hot and Cellcom confirm that a new contract has been signed in Israel that will keep the new and old HBO content with them – this despite the fact that Cellcom TV subscribers who accessed classic HBO content this morning such as “The Sopranos” or “The Entourage” received notice that the content will be removed on December 31. This is an automated message that is actually incorrect and has been removed in the meantime, according to Cellcom Tiwi.

According to the report, it appears that despite the companies’ lack of attention to the fact that their contract will end at the end of the coming month, they will continue to broadcast HBO’s favorite content at least throughout the year 2023. It was also reported that in 2024 HBO Max is expected to unite with Discovery in places in the world where Max is already available, and at the end of that year he is also expected to immigrate to Israel. Until then, presumably, HBO content will continue to be available as well as Bis, Hot and Cellcom TV.
